Modeling Autumn Scenery - Update

First of all, thanks to everyone who has inquired about or preordered a copy of Artisan Rail Media's premier publication, Modeling Autumn Scenery. My goal was to get the book to the printer and shipped by the end of March. The bad news is I missed our March 31st deadline, the good news is the book is actually in the capable hands of our printers and I expect to see a prepress copy by the end of this week. As long as that checks out we should have the books in hand and can shipping them the week of April 13.

The last month or so have seen a lot of reviews, reworks, and tweaks - and I really think the two week or so delay in what proved to be my overly optimistic timeline will be well worth the wait.

For example, here's the revised cover. The photo was taken on my Southern New England Railway layout, which is the setting for many, but not all, the photos in the book.

Autumn is the most varied of seasons, and I wanted to illustrate that. So I turned to a number of modelers who's work allowed me to share "Fall" from the late summer, with a slight tinge of color in mostly green trees, through the peak season, all the way to the leafless, (sometimes called "dead") season.

Thanks again, and best wishes! - Marty and Christine
